Instructions

  • Add 2 tablespoons of plain 80-proof vodka to a clean 4-ounce spray bottle. Or simply fill the bottle about one-quarter full with vodka. Alternatively you can sub pure witch hazel.
    2 tbsp 80 proof vodka
  • Add 28 drops lavender essential oil, 14 drops sweet orange essential oil, and 4 drops lemon eucalyptus essential oil.
28 drops Lavender essential oil, 12 drops sweet orange essential oil, 6 drops lemon eucalyptus
  • Swirl gently or put the lid on and roll between your hands to combine the vodka and essential oils.
  • Fill the remainder of the bottle with distilled water, leaving about ½ inch of headspace.
    3 fl oz Distilled Water
  • Attach the spray top and shake well before each use.

Notes

  • Shake well before each use since the essential oils will naturally separate from the water.
  • Use distilled water to help extend the shelf life and keep the spray fresh.
  • Plain, unflavored 80-proof vodka works best. If you prefer, you can substitute alcohol-free witch hazel instead.
  • Feel free to adjust the scent by increasing or decreasing the essential oils to suit your preference, but keep the total amount close to 45–50 drops for a 4-ounce bottle.
  • Spray lightly onto linens, pillows, towels, curtains, or fabric furniture. Always test on a small, inconspicuous area first, especially on delicate fabrics.
  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. For the best scent and freshness, use within 1–2 months.
  • Avoid spraying directly on silk, leather, or other delicate fabrics that may be sensitive to moisture or essential oils.
