A New Conversation On Gender Roles, Expectations in Relationships, And Sexual Addiction
Phylicia Masonheimer is an author and speaker who teaches women how to discern what is true, discuss the deep stuff, and accomplish God’s will in their own lives. She holds a B.S. Degree in Religion from Liberty University, which is where she met her husband, Josh. They now live in northern Michigan with their two daughters, Adeline and Geneva
On the show today Phylicia and I dive into the topics of gender roles, expectations in relationships, and sexual addiction. Phylicia opens up about her story of deconstruction and reconstruction in regards to her theology on gender roles in marriage and the church, as well as spiritual leadership. Near the end of the interview she also shares about her book “Christian Cosmo”, and how the inspiration for the book came from her own battle years ago with a sexual addiction. She speaks to the dangers of pornography/sexual addiction and the impact that that has on our mental health, our faith, and our relationships.
