A Counter Cultural Perspective On Marriage, Dating, And Sex
Jackie Francois is a worship leader, speaker, author, and blogger. In 2007, Jackie started full-time ministry, traveling around the world singing and speaking about God’s love. Since then, she has released two original music albums “Your Kingdom is Glorious” and “Divine Comedy”, as well as a book that she co-wrote with her husband entitled, “Forever: A Catholic Devotional for Your Marriage.” In 2013, Jackie married her husband Bobby, and they now reside in Anaheim, CA with their three little kids.
In this interview Jackie and I discuss the difference between what culture teaches us about sex, intimacy, dating, and marriage, verses what scripture teaches us. Jackie begins by sharing her own story of how she met and fell in love with her now husband Bobby, and how and why a big part of their ministry and focus is speaking to young adults about what scripture teaches us about intimacy and marriage. We also discuss how to navigate the dating scene as a single woman, and then dive into the topic of marriage, and the importance of following Christ’s model for marriage of self-sacrifice and laying our lives down for our spouse. This interview is packed full of counter-cultural advice on relationships, as well as quite a few laughs.
