Whether you’re cooking for someone with celiac disease, managing gluten sensitivities, or simply looking for wholesome gluten-free food, these juicy burgers are a satisfying meal that doesn’t sacrifice flavor.
If you are gluten-intolerant (like me), you can enjoy them with gluten-free brioche buns OR skip the bun entirely and enjoy your burger wrapped in crisp lettuce or over a fresh salad for a lighter option. Pair them with homemade greek french fries and a classic greek salad for the ultimate Mediterranean-inspired dinner.
These Greek burgers are simple enough for a quick lunch, weeknight dinner, or even meal prep for busy weeks.
What’s in These Greek Gluten Free Burgers?
This greek burger recipe uses simple ingredients that highlight classic Mediterranean flavors.
100% Grass-Fed Ground Beef
Grass-fed beef helps create incredibly juicy burgers while providing more omega-3 fatty acids and nutrients than conventional beef. The richness pairs perfectly with salty feta cheese and creamy tzatziki.
You can also adapt this recipe using ground lamb for a more traditional Mediterranean flavor or ground chicken if you prefer lighter greek chicken burgers.
Greek Seasoning
A simple combination of oregano, fresh garlic, salt, and pepper gives these burgers their signature Mediterranean flavors.
Red Onions and Garlic
Finely chopped red onions add sweetness and moisture to the patties, while fresh garlic adds bold flavor and depth.
Homemade Tzatziki Sauce
A creamy homemade tzatziki sauce made with greek yogurt, cucumber, garlic, herbs, lemon juice, and olive oil is the perfect topping for Greek burgers. If you are dairy tolerant, no problem! My dairy free version is just as good as the original.
Feta Cheese and Fresh Toppings
Adding feta cheese, tomatoes, avocado, and crisp lettuce creates the perfect balance of creamy, fresh, and savory flavors.

½ teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon paprika

Spread the potatoes out in a single layer on a baking sheet, cut side down for the best browning.

Remove from the oven and serve warm alongside your Greek burgers.
Tzatziki
Make freshhomemade tzatziki sauce (either dairy or dairy free) using this recipe.
You can also purchase pre-made tzatziki at many stores. However, homemade tzatziki usually tastes fresher and is often the healthier option.

Assemble the Greek Burgers
Serve burgers on top of red leaf lettuce, arugula, or on gluten-free brioche buns depending on your dietary needs.
Top with fresh tzatziki, red onions, tomato, avocado, and feta cheese.
Serve alongside the Greek roasted potatoes, olives, and a greek salad for a complete Mediterranean meal.
