A New Perspective On Sex And Intimacy

My guest for this episode is Arleen Spenceley. Arleen is the author of the book “Chastity is For Lovers”. She is a former journalist for the Tampa Bay Times, and is now working as the social media marketing producer at The Christian Broadcasting Network. Arleen is a keynote speaker who has appeared on stages at conferences, universities, and churches across the country. But more importantly she has such a beautiful heart and so much truth and wisdom to offer the world.

In this episode, We talk openly and honestly about the very real struggle of being single, sexual, and a christian in our modern day culture. Arleen shares about her journey as a single woman and how her stance on chastity has impacted her dating life. She also explains what the heck chastity even means and why practicing it, is so important, not only for those who are single, but for those who are married. Whether you are single or married, I really think you will glean so much from this episode.

“In every situation we have two options. We have option A, which is what we want, and option B, which is what we don’t want. But what I’ve realized is that option A is an opportunity to grow and receive graces. And option B is an opportunity to grow and receive graces. In life it’s not so much about what happens, as it is about what God is communicating to you through what happens. And whether you’re listening to Him and connecting with him on a deeper level in all of your experiences.”
